Anna Hicks is a sustainable textile artist & tutor who's inspired by working with waste materials to create textile art and sustainable fashion. She is a passionate advocate for the health benefits of creativity and the use of daily meditative stitching as a way to unwind and improve mental health.
She has a Fashion Design degree from Massey University and has exhibited her fashion and textile art nationally and internationally. Including being a finalist in the World of Wearable Art, had her 3D quilts featured in the World Quilt Competition, and in 2021 had a solo quilt exhibition called 'Textile Therapy'.
Anna's philosophy is to enjoy every step of the creative process and to embrace imperfections as proof it was handmade.
