After making her first quilt over 20 years ago, Rebecca, already an avid sewist and creative, made a few quilts for her family. Fast forward 18 years and she ‘had a go’ at longarm quilting…it was love at first try! This resulted in buying a longarm machine and so her quilting journey began. Quilting is, by far, her favourite part of the quilt making process. She particularly enjoys working with free motion quilting and rulers to compliment the quilt top.
Rebecca will be teaching the Bernina Ruler Work Class with Julie Venk.
We will provide all materials, this will consist of everything the students need, a prepared project, thread, machine needles and rulers for use in class.
Students will need to bring a fat quarter size (maximum) quilt sandwich to use for practicing on, their preferred marking pen/pencil/method i.e., Tailors Chalk, chalk pencil, erasable pen, and a small ruler or tape measure and quilting gloves.
